Burgers are something I very rarely eat.

And even in Bangkok, I eat burgers probably less than anywhere else I might be due to all the exquisite tempting $1 dishes to choose from.

But there comes a time when a burger sounds like the right thing; And when you’re in Bangkok (video), Firehouse is the the place for burgers!

Dwight has already eaten and reviewed Firehouse burgers a while ago, but this was my first opportunity to go there, so I thought I’d just post an update.

Along with Aaron who reviews Bangkok’s best hotels, I headed over to Firehouse Restaurant one evening, located just a 10 minute walk down Sukhumvit Soi 11, Nana BTS station.

California Burger at Firehouse!

I ordered their California Burger which came as a towering burger packed with 180 grams of fresh beef, lettuce, cheese, tomato, and a few slices of buttery luscious avocado – which I don’t get to eat too often in Bangkok.

I ordered the burger medium rare, and though it came more like a medium well, it was still excellent.

Potato wedges were perfect.

No too salty, and fried to the perfect crunch. A choice of potato wedges, regular fries, coleslaw, or I think onion rings, are part of your burger order at Bangkok’s Firehouse.

Finally for dessert there’s a selection of three different sweet plates that are all courtesy of Chu Chocolate Bar, which I recognized from taking part at Big Bite Bangkok.

Firehouse Restaurant is rated by Bangkok Burger Blog as an 8/10, and I’d have to agree with that.

It was a really burger, when you’re ready for one!
