Day 18 Vegetarian Thai Food: Suki Haeng, Broccoli and Cauliflower
If you’re joining us for the first time, we’re attempting to eat vegetarian Thai food for the entire month of July 2011 in order to raise money for charity. Follow us for everyday blog updates and read more about the cause here.
Breakfast
Oatmeal, peanuts and an almost rotten banana for breakfast today.
Lunch
Went to my local lunch stall and was going to just order a single dish, when I noticed the cauliflower sitting in the glass display cabinet – and I had to order it. So I ended up getting suki haeng (left side), a dish that consists of stir fried mung bean noodles with cabbage and morning glory.
Then or course I ate the side plate of stir fried broccoli and cauliflower.
Price: 30 THB each
Dinner
For dinner I just ate a simple take-away bowl of som tam thai – mai sai goong haeng (no dried shrimp) and the veggies that accompanied.
Price: 30 THB
That’s it for today!
